| I apologize for the lack of photos of Lily, We are still in Cebu. We are scheduled to depart Cebu on the evening of the 30th by ship and arrive in Osamis on the morning of January 31st. According to a follow-up report from Gigi's sister, Irine, Lily has been eating dinner properly and sleeping with Irine.  |

| Now, I'll write a little about cars today. I started looking for a car as soon as I arrived in Cebu from Japan on December 1st last year.December 6th.I bought a Chevrolet Optila. 'Although it's four years old, the price of 400,000 pesos (approximately 800,000 yen) was slightly over my budget, but considering potential future problems, I thought it was a reasonable choice. | However, since the beginning of January, the engine has been experiencing frequent starting difficulties. I experienced problems with the engine stalling or knocking while driving, resulting in a loss of power (around January 10th). So I took it to a repair shop in town, and they said the gasoline filter was clogged. However, it seems to be 'Toyota, Nissan, and Honda parts are available near Osamis, but Chevrolet parts are not, so please wait a week.'. Apparently, the cause was being filled with substandard gasoline at a gas station.   |

| Apparently, because Chevrolet cars are so niche, it takes more than a month to get parts. Even so, fuel filter problems are apparently common, and this time they were able to order one from a parts shop in Cagayan, Mindanao. When I ordered the other damaged parts, I was told they didn't know when they would arrive. So, while I was in Cebu, I visited a car shop owned by an acquaintance of Jesca, Gigi's driving instructor. After describing the symptoms, I was advised to replace a part, which was identified as 'The fuel pump is probably damaged as well.', for 2500 pesos. however,"If you don't bring your car in, we can't guarantee against any further problems after the replacement. Since regular auto repair shops don't have experience with Optira, bringing it here is the best option."That's what they said to me." Speaking of which, when I asked the repair shop at Osamis to fix the knocking issue, they wouldn't even consider it, and I'm not even considering 'This is within acceptable limits.'. And it turned out that this car was manufactured by GM Daewoo of South Korea. Each time it breaks down, transporting it by ship costs 20,000 pesos for one round trip plus unloading fees. It seems my judgment was wrong this time. However, this time, knowing the risks involved, I decided to purchase only the parts and have the repair done at Osamis's repair shop. |

| This car is a Nissan. It's the same 4-year-old model, but it's in excellent condition with only 5,000 km on it, and it's 470,000 pesos. Even if you trade in your Optira, you'll still need 200,000 pesos.  |

| This is the Mandaue Toyota showroom. The Hilux pickup, RAV4, and Honda CRV are Gigi's favorites. However, my father advised me that large cars were no good because they were heavy and therefore consumed too much fuel. But what I've realized since coming here is that even the richest people drive large vehicles, not passenger cars. One important factor is that, for the Filipinos, a large family, it's crucial that the vehicle can accommodate many people and carry luggage. Also, the doctors at the mental health clinic and the people who acted as guarantors when I bought the land said with straight faces 'For your own safety, you should have chosen a 4WD SUV.' will give you advice.   Is the VIOS equivalent to the Corolla?  The salesman has a face that somehow reminds me of people you might see in Japan. When I asked for 'Do you have a catalog?', they immediately brought out the catalog and price list.  |
