| Today I woke up at 3:30 AM and drove five hours to Cagayan. I was surprised to learn that Gigi has low blood pressure and slurs her words when she wakes up in the early morning. Putting that aside, driving for five hours each way with Sabrabas, Gigi, and myself taking turns driving is definitely tiring. I was worried when I heard on TV yesterday that there had been a suicide bombing in Iligan. We arrived safely at the NTC office in Cagayan (a place similar to the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications) without any incidents along the way. So I had a meeting about my amateur radio license for about an hour, and then immediately headed back to Osamis. |

| I heard about 'Toyota's Prius has now been released in the Philippines.' from a staff member at the NTC office whom I'd become acquainted with, so I stopped by Toyota in Cagayan. Then I found a Prius sitting right in the spot closest to the entrance.  |

| When I explained 'This car runs on an electric motor, with the engine providing assistance.' to Subrabas-san... Being a car enthusiast, he bombarded the staff with questions.  |

| Subrabas-san also answered 'It doesn't really feel like the driver's seat of a car.'. He seemed pleased, saying the style was like a sports car.  |

| But I was blown away when I saw the price. 2,265,000 pesos. Approximately 4.5 million Japanese yen. Including all expenses, it comes to a whopping 5 million yen!!!! Do you think I could afford a Lexus?!?!? Actually, in this country, you can buy land and build a house! Gigi said 'So when are you going to buy it?' When I said 'Yes, I don't have any money.', I was told 'I like the red Honda New CR-V.' in return. I'm too sleepy to play with Lily today. Goodnight.  |
