Cavalier, Lily
This day last year...
December 29, 2007.
Hello everyone in Japan, the New Year is almost here!

I received news of the first snowfall from my family home in Hyogo Prefecture.

Living in Osamis, Mindanao, you wake up when the sun rises and go home when the sun sets. You forget the date and time.

Houses along the coast are quite cool in the mornings and evenings this time of year; I've even felt cold in the middle of the night once and had to get out a sweater.
It's a mild season, and even during the day it's not unbearably hot if it's cloudy. However, there are squalls almost every night, and once there was a terrible thunderstorm.
The TV I brought from Japan has broken down.

happy new year.
In the evenings, I go for walks on the beach.
Taken from the pier, looking out over the sandy beach.
Lily goes back and forth on the pier.
Gigi is singing loudly while listening to music on the CD player she gave to her younger siblings as a gift.
The sun is setting again today.
Sunset is usually around 6 PM.
Gigi has started teaching Japanese to his siblings.
These elementary school children are far more interested in studying Japanese than English.
But it never lasts long...
We teach children how to write hiragana characters while incorporating play.
My younger brother, Nonoi, is a high school student.
I'm serious about wanting to work in Japan, even though I've only just started.
I'm looking for land and a house, using my temporary accommodation as a base.
If you search hard enough, you can find some pretty good properties, but they'll be quite expensive.
Sometimes you come across houses so impressive that you wonder, "Is this really a Filipino house?", but when you ask around, you find out that many of them were built by Germans.

The exterior and interior are both perfect, and it's only a 30-second walk to the beach.
So, how much does it cost?
Such a wonderful property with land included, and it's only 8 million yen!
But I can't afford it (cries).

Gigi and the others are also saying 'All the houses built by Germans are magnificent.',
I showed them the photos from Germany the other day and explained that it was 'This is the standard for houses in Germany.', and they understood.
