Cavalier Lily's DiaryGigi's first paycheck (October 20, 2008) Cavalier, Lily	This day last year... October 20, 2007.
The 20th is Gigi's payday. I couldn't help but smile when I withdrew my first paycheck from the ATM. I received the money from Gigi for the automatic deductions for things like electricity bills. (Hmm... but thank you anyway.) I'm out all day today, so Lily will stay home at my parents' house.
I recently visited the Philippine Consulate in Kyobashi for the first time in a while. Apparently, it was due to a surge in visa renewals. It was overflowing with people. But still, I wonder why they don't form a line... It would be much more efficient if they also set up an information desk. Incidentally, there were a lot of grumpy-looking middle-aged men sitting in the back. Some couples were even arguing in Japanese...
Our goal is to apply for my permanent visa. It took two hours just to get a list of the documents required for the application. I found out that I need to get something called 'Certificate of no criminal record' from the Japanese police.
It took until 4 PM to get the necessary documents to request police clearance from the Hyogo Prefectural Police Headquarters.
At Kyobashi Station. I'm really tired today. My father pointed out that I was overheating, so I canceled my trips to the Social Insurance Agency, the city hall, and the Hyogo Prefectural Police Headquarters for tomorrow.
