Cavalier Lily's DiaryNew Lily's mom is born (2008/08/21)
Cavalier, Lily
This day last year...
August 21, 2007.
An evening stroll.
Lily and Gigi also seem to be having fun.

because.........

We have an important announcement to make.

On May 12, 2008, Gigi officially became Lily's mother.

The announcement was delayed because we were waiting for the Immigration Bureau's 'Procedures for changing residence status' to finish.

November 2007. Gigi has started the process of reapplying for her lost passport in Manila.
December 18, 2007. Gigi received all the necessary documents for the visa application that had been shipped from Japan.
February 7, 2008. Gigi's passport reissuance.
February 25, 2008. I submitted all my visa application documents to the Discovery Tour Agency in Cebu. 1st.
Miracle
February 28, 2008. The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines issues temporary visas.
The VISA is valid for 90 days and expires on May 28th.

For some reason, it was issued in three days, but apparently there was someone in the office whose applications had been rejected multiple times.
February 29, 2008. I received my visa through Discovery Tour Agency.
March 6, 2008. I used the money sent from Japan to buy a plane ticket at a travel agency in SM.
March 20, 2008. Coming to Japan. The stay is 90 days, until June 18th.
Incredibly, a Cebu airport employee accompanied Lily to the check-in counter on August 30th of last year.
They remembered Gigi's face, upgraded him from economy class to business class, and even had him as their guide in Manila.
They apparently gave it to me for free.
2nd.
Miracle

April 1, 2008. I'm going to the Philippine Consulate in Osaka to apply for a Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage.
However, in Manila, the authentication documents for the Nonemarried certificate and birth certificate are required.
It turns out that it is necessary to obtain what is commonly known as a "Red Ribbon" certificate.
A Filipino I happened to meet at the consulate. They agreed to handle the money transfer and the procedures in Manila on my behalf.
On the same day, late at night, I sent the Nonemarried certificate and birth certificate to Manila via FedEx.
3rd.
Miracle
April 18, 2008. The documents were returned from Manila (unbelievably fast).
April 21, 2008. I went back to the Philippine Consulate in Osaka. I was told it would take two weeks to issue the Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage.
I applied for foreigner registration at the city hall and started the process.

May 9, 2008. The Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage will be sent by courier from the Philippine Consulate.
May 12, 2008. We submitted our marriage registration to the city hall.
May 13, 2008. I went to the Osaka Immigration Bureau to begin the procedure for changing my residence status.
I went to the Philippine consulate and applied for marriage registration on the Philippine side.
However, I was told that a Japanese family register transcript was required instead of a marriage registration receipt, and my application was initially rejected.
Request a copy of your family register from your registered domicile.

I was told at the immigration office that the visa change would require approximately three months of processing from that date.
Gigi's passport was stamped with "Osaka Job C No. 2327," rendering the June 18th expiration date irrelevant.
Conversely, during the three-month period while the application is being reviewed, you will not be able to leave the country without applying to the immigration bureau.

In reality, my sister and her husband's two children were hospitalized after an accident, but thankfully, it wasn't serious.

May 21, 2008. We went to the Philippine consulate and began the marriage procedures on the Philippine side.
June 2, 2008. I received my alien registration card.
June 20, 2008. The Philippine consulate will return the marriage certificate and passport by courier.
I submitted a marriage certificate as additional documentation to the Osaka Immigration Bureau.

August 21, 2008. In the afternoon, we went to the city hall for a health checkup. When I checked the mailbox, I found a letter from the Osaka Immigration Bureau.
I went to the immigration office and received permission to change my passport's status of residence.
'Spouse of a Japanese national, etc.' indicates that the expiration date of the residence permit will be June 18, 2009.
I will apply for a re-entry permit on the same day. This permit allows me to enter and exit the country only once within its validity period.

August 25, 2008. A friend of someone Gigi met at Japanese language school introduced her to the job.
Apparently, she got a job offer on her very first interview!
4th.
