It's been about a month since I started staying at my parents' house. Gigi has become a full-fledged member of the family. Conversations with my father move at an incredible pace, and I have no trouble communicating with my mother on a normal level. Gigi does everything from cooking, cleaning, and laundry with her mother to helping her father with yard work and DIY projects. Lily is fast asleep in Gigi's arms while he eats Surugaya's yokan (sweet bean jelly).
Lily skillfully descends the stairs.
Oh yes, the import permit for Lily that I requested from Gigi's sister's husband on November 6th arrived today, the 10th, via FedEx. The ferry, which departed Osamis Port at 7 p.m. on November 6th, arrived in Cebu at 6 a.m. on November 7th. From there, I went to the animal quarantine office to get a permit issued, and then headed to FedEx in SM. The man who shipped the package had a grueling schedule, departing from Cebu port at 7 pm that same day to return to Osamis. Gigi is 'I don't have the money to stay in a hotel, so please just go home.'... How cruel... And we've asked your sister to help us with many things, such as finding a house for us to start our new life in, and buying beds and curtains. I'll have to thank them profusely the next time we meet. I will scan the permit again at a later date.
