Cavalier Lily's Diary 'Welcome to Japan' (2008/03/20) Cavalier, Lily	This day last year... March 20, 2007.
Gigi has arrived in Japan. My departure from Manila Airport was delayed by an hour (which is pretty typical). I waited in the arrival lobby for two hours, worried because Gigi was taking so long to come out.
Although the display showed 'PR408' was in landing approach at the scheduled time, it took nearly an hour to arrive. (Currently undergoing trial operation at Kansai International Airport)
Lily's dad was waiting at the exit, thinking something like 'Perhaps they were not granted permission to enter the country during immigration inspection.'.
But in reality, at immigration, all I had to do was show my passport, they asked for my name, and I wrote my accommodation address, phone number, and name on a card. A new system has been in place since last year requiring entry by taking a facial photograph and fingerprints. It seems that everything went smoothly for Gigi during her visit to Japan.
Furthermore, it seems that Lily encountered the Philippine Airlines staff member she had met at Cebu Airport last August during her check-in process again. 'Where are you going?''To Japan''first time?''Yes' 'Yes, in that case, I'll reserve a business class seat for you.' 'Don't worry, staff will be there to greet you when you arrive at Manila Airport.' Apparently, Gigi was guided by staff to complete all the procedures upon arriving in Manila, and was even escorted to the international departures lobby. Gigi says it's 'Power of Love' (singer: Celine Dione)!
