Cavalier Lily's Diary: Pigsty and Well Digging(2010/11/twenty three) This day last year...

It's been a while since I've had a bird's-eye view.
The roof framework of the first pigsty, which had collapsed, has been rebuilt.
We changed the direction of the roof's ridge and increased the number of supporting pillars.
And so, the well-digging work began today.
Unlike in Japan where drilling is done, they stick pipes into the ground and use weights to force them in.
Five workers are pulling the rope to lift the weight.
The labor cost for well digging isP13,000.(26,000 yen.)
Incidentally, the group that dug our well offered P20,000 (40,000 yen), which we declined.
Once the pipe is filled, an engine pump is used to flush out the soil inside the pipe using a water flow.
Three pipes are driven into the ground, and this process is repeated.
Gigi bought a pump with an integrated tank.P16,000.(32,000 yen.)
The shopkeeper initially quoted a price of P20,000 (40,000 yen), so Gigi haggled and bought it.
Apparently, Gigi is known as 'Gigi haggles even though her husband is Japanese.' in Osamis.

In addition, three 6-meter pipes cost P6000 (12,000 yen).
