Cavalier Lily's Diary: Buying a Truck(2011/01/05) This day last year...
January 5, 2010.
The rainy season runs from December to around March.
It rains every afternoon.
It's been raining all day since the beginning of January, and I haven't seen the sun for quite some time.
The temperature is a bit low, around 27 degrees Celsius, but the high humidity and mosquitoes are a real problem.
Gigi and the children aren't stabbed, but for some reason, I'm the only one who gets attacked.

I heard that the child of a friend of mine who's into radio has been hospitalized with dengue fever.
'Let's go for a walk, Daddy.'.
'It's raining, isn't it? Just wait a moment.'
I finally bought a truck.
This is a KIA BONGO diesel engine truck.
It's a 10-year-old car, but it's in very good condition.
There are some minor repairs needed, but the engine is in good condition and the interior is very clean.
Gigi haggled the price down from 300,000 pesos to 250,000 pesos (approximately 500,000 yen).
Furthermore, the owner also covered the 4400 peso repair cost for having KIA inspect the vehicle and lift it up.
This light truck keeps breaking down one after another no matter how many times it's been repaired.
Currently, the car is running with a broken brake master cylinder.
Even so, he said it seemed like he could find a buyer for around 50,000 pesos (100,000 yen).
I took Gigi and Terin-chan for a drive to Osamis.

The high seating position makes driving very comfortable.
You can see the roof of the Pajero.
Even though it's a diesel, it has plenty of power and accelerates smoothly without needing to be pushed hard.
It's a 5-speed manual, but I was able to drive perfectly fine in city traffic and low speeds using only 4th or 3rd gear.
