| It seems that Japanese television also reported that flooding caused by the typhoon in northern Mindanao has resulted in the deaths of nearly 200 people. The floods occurred in the towns of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, which are about a six-hour drive from my home. Fortunately, as you can see, Ozamis-City only suffered some flooding and no major damage. Our house was completely unaffected by the flooding, but some houses in the neighborhood experienced flooding above floor level.  |

| Because the sewage system is underdeveloped, even a heavy downpour causes immediate flooding. Therefore, this scene occurs many times during the rainy season.  |
