Cavalier Lily's Diary: First Shipment of Pigs(2011/06/08) This day last year...

I finally bought a generator.
This is a 220V 50KVA diesel single-phase generator.
560,000 pesos (1.12 million yen)

Incidentally, the engine was made in the USA, assembled in China, and imported to the Philippines.
Sabrabus praised me with the comment 'It was a good purchase, a generator used on ships.'.
Incidentally, the Japanese-made Denyo generator is 18 kVA ('Total CIF Cebu: 1,263,000 yen').
Since we had to handle customs clearance and subsequent transportation ourselves, we couldn't really afford it.

The one placed in the foreground is the 3kVA gasoline generator I was using until now.
After two years of heavy use and numerous breakdowns, it will now spend the rest of its life working on a mango farm.

I was woken up early in the morning by Gigi and told to come to Pigily.

It was the first shipment of pigs.
Six large, mature pigs were selected and placed in cages.
It was weighed.
It was sold for 47,600 pesos (95,200 yen).
The business has finally started to take off.
We still have a long way to go, but this was a valuable day as the first step towards being able to support ourselves on our own income in Ozamiz, Mindanao, Philippines.

Incidentally, before the first shipment, about 10 buyers visited my house and apparently said "'We'll offer the highest price, so please let us buy it.'".
It seems they have no trouble finding buyers for their pork, rice, and mangoes.
