Cavalier Lily's DiaryLily's Smiling Faces Special 10/12 (2018/01/15)
I've compiled a collection of photos of Lily smiling, who passed away on July 15, 2012.
Seeing photos of people smiling brightly and looking directly at the camera is very soothing.
Since there are so many photos, this will be a 12-part series.
Happy New Year (2009/01/01)
We were able to celebrate the New Year in Osamis, Mindanao, just one hour later than in Japan.
I wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and birds chirping.
In the Philippines, January 1st is the only public holiday.
On this day only, the New Year is welcomed in a very lively atmosphere from midnight onwards, with firecrackers, fireworks, and people singing...
That's what I'd like to say, but Gigi and I slept soundly until morning, without waking up even when our family called out to us.
Today is an event at the elementary school that Raisa, Gian, and Jinny attend.
Is it like a school festival in Japan?
KING and QUEEN were chosen, and Raisa-chan was selected as 2nd QUEEN.

In Filipino terms, it's considered super-fast construction.
Lily's 5th birthday (2009/04/29)
Thanks to everyone's support, Lily has turned 5 years old. Last night, everyone celebrated with 'Happy birthday to you~~'.

Birthday poses that I photograph every year
This time, the photos were taken in the kitchen of a house that is almost complete.
First meeting (2009/05/13)
On the morning of the 12th, I returned to Osamis from Cebu Island by ferry.
We set sail at 8 PM and arrived at 8 AM. It was a 12-hour boat trip, but Roroy was a good girl.
Back home, Lily and I performed our usual, more elaborate greeting ceremony before introducing Lily and Loroy to each other for the first time.
At first they were sniffing each other and Loroy was chasing Lily around, but they seem to have calmed down eventually.
For the time being, the bed is Lily's territory, so Loroy is not allowed on it.
I always try to prioritize Lily in everything I do.
House construction and completion party (2009/06/08)
The house we were building in Osamis, Mindanao, Philippines is now complete.
On June 8th, we held a housewarming party, and it was a huge success with a large crowd of people from the local area, many of whom we didn't even know.
It's been five years since Lily became part of our family.
Since I wasn't there when Lily was born, this day is just as important to me as her birthday.
Lily has turned 5 years old, which is equivalent to about 36 years old in human years.
The three people in the back, from my side, are Irene, Jundley, Nonoi, Merigres next to Gigi, and Raisa next to her; these are Gigi's siblings.
From left to right in the front row: Jinny, Gian, Raisa, and Julia live in my house.
I think it's amazing how Lily can maintain eye contact with the camera even in group photos like this.
