Mom told me this morning that Lily peed in her room.
I can't even remember when the last time I failed was, so it might have been more than two months ago.
Here's what happened.
The night before, I went to bed with Lily, and in the early morning, Lily started to stir in bed, so I still half-asleep and took her back to her house.
Lily's mom was on the late shift and was preparing breakfast for Lily's mom, letting her dog out of the house, when the dog had an accident.
Normally, when I let him out of his crate, I say "'Pee'" and he goes to the litter box to pee, but this morning, I neglected to check because I was in a hurry before going to work.
For quite some time now, Lily has had the habit of deliberately attracting our attention before peeing and pooping when she wants to leave her crate. Also, even when she's playing or relaxing in the room, she'll try to go back to her crate on her own.
However, this failure was caused by a simple oversight, and I realized that I can't be complacent yet.
