I went to the new Daiso store that opened in the Gigi Mall shopping center in Osamis.
There's a big sign that says "DAISO Japan".
ClosestDaiso in Cagayan de Oro.However, it used to take 5 hours each way by car, so I'm happy that one has opened nearby.
Many items were being sold for 88 pesos (approximately 204 yen).
However, some items had product descriptions written in Korean, so be sure to check before purchasing.
There were also toothbrushes and chopsticks, and Gigi seemed happy, saying 'No need to order from Japan.'.
I filled my shopping basket to the brim and lined up at the checkout.
I spotted Meiji's Kinoko no Yama and Apollo chocolates on a shelf near the register, so I secretly put them in my shopping basket.
On my way home, I stopped by Mercury Drugstore and found Meiji chocolate bars in stock.
If they keep it in stock consistently, I won't need to order it from Japan, and I'll probably be able to buy it from Osamis.
