| Before Lily's surgery, I went to get a second opinion from another hospital. At that hospital, the general rule is a one-night, two-day stay. However, if the owner wishes, they may keep the pet until the stitches are removed, and sometimes it can even be a three-night, four-day stay. There's nothing unusual about staying for three nights, and if it's what the doctor has planned from the beginning, then the price isn't high. The doctor I consulted also said that, if possible, he would honestly prefer to keep the baby until the stitches are removed. For our family, who are often away from home, a 3-night, 4-day trip might actually be more reassuring. I was told that, so I feel confident sending them off tomorrow. | |
